What I Believe…

Have you ever given serious thought to what you believe about something, about anything? Now, I’m not talking about idle musings or day dreaming here, I’m talking about a deep and considered examination of what you think and feel about something. Recently, I’ve done just that: While I was preparing to put the content of my website together, I engaged in a structured exercise to reveal to myself what it was that really mattered to me.

There were a few individual steps I had to work through, and at the time I couldn’t see the relevance of each one, or how they could contribute to the outcome. However, I trusted the process and then allowed all that was being asked of me, and all my answers to soak into me. Having given myself time for some mindful marinading and journeying, I sat down and composed what’s written below. I do wonder though, if I had tried to write out my beliefs about my work without having followed this process, would I have uncovered what I did?

I Believe…

That all women are divine beings with the potential for abundant power and magic at their command. When they release the blocks that keep them from seeing themselves in this way, they can bring great goodness and creative energy into the world.

By having the courage to go deep into their body and gently hold their pain, as they would a new-born baby, women can transmute their pain to uncover their great magic and strength.

Women will heal themselves, and in turn the planet, when they live from their authentic power centre in their body – their womb space.

The wisdom of the Earth is contained in the body of each woman. By clearing herself of lower vibrational energies like her pain and disempowering beliefs, a woman can reveal her powerful creative energy to herself first, then shine it on situations to bring peace and balance to the world,

Courage is needed when taking those first steps to wholeness. That deep inner yearning for peace, calmness and self-acceptance can be a powerful force. It can encourage women to initiate their own healing and can assist them to be who they truly are.

Knowledge of our pain is only helpful if we also have the tools to engage with it in a meaningful way. When we are brave enough to engage with our pain, we can listen deeply to discover what it is we have to learn from it before we release it. In this way we can transmute our pain.

When we begin to value ourselves, it transforms our world. When we are able to accept ourselves, in all our imperfections and flaws, with unconditional love and compassion, then we can begin to access our inner powers – and these powers will assist us in changing our lives for the better.

Gaining an understanding of the relationship between our story so far and our ability to rewrite it for ourselves is a powerful, alchemical process.

It is only after we acknowledge that we are ungrounded in our body, and may be spiritually bypassing, that we can become whole. Our ability to be grounded is our most powerful ally in our path to becoming.

Beliefs are a powerful indicator of our wellness. When we are holding negative beliefs about ourselves or a situation, we are disempowered. Only when we address them can we be free.

Brutal honesty is a primary requirement for this type of work. It takes courage to take personal responsibility in all our relationships and situations. The women who are ready to evolve into their Empress selves’ value truth and understand that strength and humility are some of the alchemical catalysts for transformation.

These are my beliefs around the work I’m doing. I’m sure they will change over time as I evolve. In fact, I’m happy to leave room for flexibility, self-growth and development. I definitely found it an interested process to do this for myself.

Carl Jung said ‘The shoe that fits one person pinches another; there is no recipe for living that suits all cases.’ I would therefore encourage you to go explore for yourself.
